Easy Green Masala Fish Fry Recipe | Crispy Pan-fried fish

Green masala Fish fry

Easy Green Masala Fish Fry Recipe | Crispy Pan-fried Fish is a delicious and enticing fried fish recipe made with spicy green masala.

This is a classic south Indian recipe where the fish is marinated with greens and spices before being rava fried for a crispy crust.

This is an easy yet tasty recipe that one can prepare within a few minutes with minimal ingredients. It’s a great treat that’s worth the calories.

I used Rohu fish to make this amazing dish. However, we can use Surmai (Kingfish), Katla, Pomfret, Mackerel, Murrel, Seer, and any other varieties with excellent flavor.

Pieces or fillets without bones can be chosen, but I generally choose to go for the pieces with bones, which are so satisfying to eat and usually are more flavorful than the fillet once.

This dish has an earthy, refreshing flavor from the greens, a spicy flavor from the spices, and a somewhat acidic flavor from the lemon, all of which add to its detectability.

For about 30 minutes to an hour, we must marinate it with ginger, garlic, green chilies, greens like mint leaves, and coriander along with spices to ensure that it absorbs all the spices & flavors and turns tasty.

Then, we have to thinly coat it with semolina/rava, cornflour, and spices to get the crisp crust. Next, we must shallow fry it by drizzling the oil on both sides until it turns soft, crispy, and cooks thoroughly.

Serve this wonderful crispy Rava fried fish with onion slices and a drizzle of lemon juice on top. This is a great seafood appetizer that goes well with any meal.
