French Fries Recipe | How to make Crispy Finger chips

French Fries Recipe | Crispy Finger chips are an all-time favorite snack for people of all ages. This dish is an easy and quick recipe for the perfect crispy texture on the outside with a smooth & creamy texture inside.
They are not the same as potato chips; the texture is just what defines them. It is the most popular snack in the world, and McDonald’s french fries are a popular menu item alongside burgers.
However, they are popular in restaurants because of a few preservatives used to achieve the desired color and flavor, they are best made at home with ease and absolutely healthy, with no additional chemicals.
We can’t stop eating them once we start. The only way to make them crispy at home is to fry them twice, first at a low temperature and then at a high temperature.
Because potatoes are such a crucial ingredient in making this dish, only the best ones should be used. We need two large potatoes for serving each person, and the number of them depends on how many people are having them.
To eliminate extra starch, we have to thinly slice the potatoes and thoroughly rinse them, and then submerged them in boiling water with a small amount of baking soda for a few minutes.
Then, we must dry them off with a kitchen towel to eliminate all of the moisture. Next, we have to coat the potato slices with cornflour and freeze them for 30 minutes to an hour.
Lastly, we double fry them and season them with salt and pepper.
Choice of potatoes
The potatoes used to make this dish should have a low moisture and starch content. When cooked, if the moisture level is high, the fries become soggy and hollow as the water evaporates.
The Russet variety, Idaho variety, Maris piper, the Shepody, Yukon gold variety ones are the most used varieties of them across the world to produce the perfect texture, crunch on the outside, and fluffy on the inside.
