Tawa pizza

Tawa Pizza is a simple yet delicious pizza recipe to make at home with ease without the use of an oven or yeast.

It is the most popular and widely consumed meal across the globe as a snack or as a light meal. This recipe is a desi version of preparing it using the native Indian stovetop, the Tawa.

Delicious cheesy veg Tawa pizza is a quick one to make from scratch at home. The base is light, chewy yet crispy compared to the one made with yeast proofing. The vegetables add an intriguing crunch, while the sauce, cheese, and seasonings add an incredible flavor.

Baking powder and Baking soda are used instead of yeast for preparing the base of it since yeast works best when baked in an oven.

Curd is naturally acidic, which aids in the rise of the dough when combined with baking soda. Prepare a soft one by mixing all the ingredients. Leave it to rest for 40 mins to an hour until it leavens properly and becomes soft and fluffy.

Knead the dough again to release the air bubbles. Roll it out using cornmeal or a blend of semolina and all-purpose flour and spread it on a pizza screen or stainless-steel flour sieve or a plate with holes.

Pizza sauce

The Sauce is essential to the success of any pizza, as it provides enticing aromas and flavors. It is a delicious combination of tanginess, spice, and sweetness. Make it a day earlier on hand and apply it on the base.

Secondly, use veggies that cook more quickly as toppings like onion, tomato, sweet corn, broccoli, capsicum.

This dish without yeast is healthy since it has no preservatives and contains fewer calories. To make it more nutritional, use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour. This recipe yields 3 medium-sized or 5 small pizzas.
